We had a clear vision for something more functional - a versatile space that could handle traditional relaxation and friend gatherings, but also serve as a serious recovery tool for yoga, weight lifting, and post-workout stretching. This was particularly important as I was deep into Ironman training and relying on sauna and cold plunge as my go-to recovery tool to prevent injury.

We also knew we wanted it to be built with beautiful, natural Canadian materials and quality craftsmanship. There's something special about supporting local artisans and knowing your sauna is built to last with materials that can handle our harsh Canadian winters. ​

When we couldn't find exactly what we envisioned in any store, a friend connected us with Aaron Downey, former NHL player, and founder of Aaron Downey Training Methods located in the Bruce Peninsula.  Together, we were able to design our own custom hot and cold therapy space, complete with innovative fold-up bench design to maximize the space's versatility. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out.​

Our friends & family fell in love with it too, quickly wanted their own, and that's when the Sauna Cycle Company Came to life!
